  • How do I book an online class with My Language Link?
    In your My Language Link account, navigate to the 'Browse Private Classes' section. Employ filters to select your desired target language and explore upcoming classes offered by available teachers within your chosen timeframe. Gain insights into each teacher's background, including their location, experience, and education, by tapping on 'View Profile.' While you have the flexibility to book classes weeks in advance, ensure to secure your place in the most convenient class by booking at least 24 hours ahead.
  • What learning materials will I receive?
    All Language Link members will have full access all downloadable the class materials for free and use them at any time. You will also have a free customized workbook to help you refresh and practice your new skills.
  • How are the live classes conducted?
    In addition to teaching grammar and vocabulary, our teachers also focus on useful conversational topics that are applicable to students’ interests, careers and everyday lives. This allows learners of all levels to quickly apply what they learn inside the classroom to real-life scenarios. We make sure that every sentence, activity and topic builds towards fluency.
  • What software & hardware do I need?
    Preparing to learn with us is simple. You simply need just two things: a computer and a stable internet connection.
  • Who are the teachers?
    Learning a language takes more than just following a curriculum. That’s where our experienced professional & native-speaking teachers come in. All of our teachers are certified, qualified and have a history of teaching excellence. Teaching is not their hobby, it’s their career.
  • How do you choose your teachers?
    At Language Link, you have the opportunity to learn from a different teacher every time you take a class. Learning in different styles and different accents is what makes the Language Link experience so unique and makes you ready for the real world. However, if you find a teacher you like, you can book their classes as well.
  • Will the teachers correct my mistakes?
    Everyone makes mistakes, that’s how we learn. Our classes are private 1-one-1 so that you can practice speaking and receive personalized feedback. Your teacher will make sure that you have time to practice reading out loud, answering questions and speaking with each other. And if you want more personal feedback (e.g. to improve your personal cover letter or learn the most difficult grammar topics), you can always sign up for an additional private class by purchasing extra credits in your account.
  • Why should I learn with My Language Link and not a traditional school?
    The key difference between My Language Link and an offline school is that My Language Link fits your busy schedule: you can take a class anytime and from anywhere. But otherwise, you can think of My Language Link as a traditional school that has moved online. All our teachers are native-level, certified and follow a learning plan that has been designed by language experts.
  • How long is each live class?
    Students choose a course intensity that matches your language learning goals. We offer 1, 2, 3, & 5 classes a week plans. We respect the time and schedule of all of our learners by maximizing each live one-on-one 30 minute session and students begin speaking immediately from the first day.
  • What if I don’t like a teacher? Can I change teachers?
    Of course! You can even change teachers every class. In fact, you will almost always learn with a new teacher, as their rotation is an important part of our method’s success. Doing so exposes you to different accents and speaking styles so that you can understand any native-level teacher, from any region.
  • Do I need to stick to a class schedule?
    Definitely not. You can schedule classes that perfectly fit your busy — and sometimes variable — schedule. One day you could take a class at 7pm, another day at 10am. This is one of the reasons our students prefer our online classes to traditional language schools, where you would have to commit to a recurring and set schedule. With us, you make your own schedule.
  • How long will it take to improve my language skills?
    It depends. As is the case when learning any new skill, your progress depends on your efforts. If you would like to learn quickly, then we suggest that you make language learning a consistent habit. Also focus and participate in class and complete the downloadable materials at the end of each class for best results. It also depends on which Language Link plan you choose, as some of our plans are more intensive than others.
  • How can I give feedback on my classes?
    You can rate the teachers, the learning materials and the technology after your class from 1 to 5 stars. Please make sure to leave written feedback if you rate a class lower than three stars so that our teacher management team can follow up with the teacher and improve class quality. Your feedback is more than welcome, we value every opinion and take the reviews very seriously.
  • What happens if a teacher cancels a class? Do I get my credits back and when can I use them?
    If a teacher cancels one of your classes at short notice please do not worry. Credits for cancelled classes will be returned to you when the class has been logged and can be used another time.
  • Can I book a class if there is no teacher assigned to it?
    Yes, you can send a direct message through the learner dash board to a teacher of your choice requesting a mutual time and you can be added manually by the teacher.
  • How can I pause or cancel my subscription?
    You can alway pause or cancel a subscription and pick back up where you left off. Your classes will never expire. The process must be done in writing at least 5 business days before your next payment draft to: info@mylanguagelink.com
  • What if I miss a class?
    If you miss a class due to technical issues on Language Link's side, and the teacher has also confirmed the issue we will refund your class credit. If you missed the class due to problems on your side, that class will be deducted from your total but can be made up at a later date.
  • Is My Language Link a learning app?
    No, we are not a language learning app. We are an online language school. And like any school, we offer live classes with certified, native-level teachers. At My Language Link, we believe that nothing can replace live interaction and customized feedback from a real person.
